The Hall is a registered charity (1202852) and was opened in 1938, built by local people in memory of the sons of Flamborough who gave their lives in war. The Hall is self-supporting, relying solely on the income earned from bookings and fundraising and is run by an independent Management Committee, made up of volunteers.
Linda James, Treasurer and Audrey Heywood, Secretary were delighted to receive their Hallmark 1 Award, recognition that the Hall is complying with its Charitable status. Hallmark is a nationally recognised quality assurance scheme for Community Buildings, administered by ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) and has been running in the East Riding since 2010.
